COVID-19 update
Because we value and respect science and data, and because we understand the importance of strong and effective leadership, we have decided to make some changes to the operations of Batch Baking Company on a temporary basis. We will reduce our days and hours of operation, as well as focus on special orders and delivery service only while Governor Inslee’s “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” mandate is in place. We will continue to evaluate the situation and will post any changes on social media and our website. What do these changes mean?
Hours of Operation: We will be open 11:00am –5:00pm. Thursday through Sunday.
Special Order Take-out and Delivery only: Because we feel it is important to do our part to reduce physical contact between people, we will suspend service to drop-in customers at this time. During our revised operating hours, we are happy to take orders (either online via info@batchbakingco.com or by calling 206.822.6308) for at least a dozen sweet treats. While we would prefer 24-hour notice, if we have something ready, we are happy to work with you on getting Batch Baking Company goodness your way. Special orders can be delivered to you, or picked up at our shop. Contact us for details.
While technically we can remain open to drop-in customers for take-out, we feel an obligation to do all that we can to help ensure in the longer-term, our community can operate in a “normal” way again, and soon. Our health care system needs our help to reduce the number of people it needs to treat. While to us, sweet treats and cookies are essential, they pale in comparison to the need to get this thing under control and over. We recognize that many people like our stuff (which is GREAT!) and we are paying attention to the most effective and responsible way to continue providing access to it.
Rest-assured, Batch Baking Company will re-open full-time and to in-house customers just as soon as we can. In the meantime, do what others have done and order a few dozen treats for delivery to a hospital or clinic for the front-line resources. Or, feel free to order an eGift card here and share with a teacher. Buy from local businesses as much as you can. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram (@batchbakingseattle). Take walks – maintain the 6-foot physical distance. Have virtual happy hours with friends. Bake cookies with your kids and share your photos with us. Be safe and know that we will miss seeing you.
If you can, Stay Home, Stay Healthy! Together, as a community, we will get through this. We must all do our part. We are so grateful for the community we are a part of and for our wonderful customers and friends. Thank you and see you soon.
